Job description

The Senior Consultant is responsible for building working relationships with US colleges. To do this, he or she will put Dipont's considerable market knowledge and expertise to work in solving challenges related to recruiting qualified students in China. 


Relationship building 

  • Building effective relationship with universities, government bodies and other key stakeholders and raising Dipont Group and Schools profile in the higher education sector in the US. 
  • Developing promotion materials to support regional strategies that are designed to increase university and stakeholders understanding and acceptance for Dipont Group and Schools. 
  • Building effective relationships with key stakeholder groups such as the most selective universities, NACAC/International ACAC, CIS, College Board and other high education professional bodies. 


Lead and attend events

  • Representing Dipont Group at conferences and exhibitions in the region and liaising with a variety of key stakeholder groups by presenting on Dipont Group and Schools. 
  • Facilitating college visits in the US for students/families from Dipont Group and Schools. 
  • Facilitating high school group tour for US universities. 
  • Researching and keeping abreast of the US education policies (including funding) in order to identify and resolve issues in progression. 
  • Ensuring Dipont Schools are aware of university requirements and advise accordingly. 


Job requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree; Master’s degree preferred
  • Experienced in the education industry, with a specific focus on US university admissions 
  • Ability to work as a team, but also on your own initiative 
  • In-depth understanding of the US universities admissions landscape, application components and evaluation criteria. 
  • Strong network and established relationships with US universities, admission officers, and relevant stakeholders. Demonstrated ability to leverage these connections for the benefit of students and educational institutions. 
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to articulate clearly and concisely. 
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment, but also independently 
  • Experience in promoting and representing educational institutions to US universities. Knowledge of effective marketing strategies and techniques to enhance the visibility and reputation of educational institutions. 
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Demonstrate adaptability to changing circumstances, needs, and industry dynamics. Willingness to travel for college visits and conferences. 
  • Be willing to spend an extended amount of time in China, collaborating with the team and supporting their needs
