Job description

The Role
In this position, you will teach ESL English, Drama, and extracurricular courses, with a strong focus on Drama and Public Speaking programs for selected students.
You’ll be a mentor to motivated students aged 6-14, in year 1 and year 7, helping them develop confidence, creativity, and strong communication skills.
This role combines classroom instruction, performance coaching, and creative mentorship, making it ideal for educators who thrive in dynamic, student-centered environments.
You will be primarily based in Foshan, at our partner school - often referred to as the “famous town of Lingnan and the dreamy water town.” The position may also include occasional assignments in other cities across China. Therefore, this role requires a high level of autonomy, initiative, and self-motivation.
Key Responsibilities
Teach Drama, Interpretation, Speech, and Public Speaking
Introduce voice techniques, movement, and stage presence
Adapt lessons for ESL learners and differentiate instruction based on students’ English proficiency
Use drama-based teaching methods to develop students’ confidence and communication skills
Coach students for performances, showcases, and competitions
Encourage self-expression, collaboration, and creative risk-taking

Your Typical Schedule
This is a full-time position with a five-day workweek (Monday to Friday). Teachers balance classroom instruction with dedicated time for lesson planning, student feedback, and academic support. Instructors work with students across different levels and help prepare them for both online and in-person competitions.
Spring & Fall Semesters : Teach up to 20 hours per week at our partner school in Foshan.
Winter & Summer Camps: Focus on center-based teaching, with up to 30 hours per week, at our additional program locations across China.

Job requirements
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree (ideally in Drama or Communication)
A minimum of 2 years of experience teaching drama, theater, speech and debate or public speaking
Comfortable working with students aged 6–15
Strong understanding of the needs of ESL learners
Willingness to travel for teaching assignments
Highly Preferred
Knowledge of WSDA / NSDA competition formats
Experience with Interpretation & Original Oratory
