Teacher of Early Years

Hangzhou Dipont School of Arts and Science (in partnership with King's College School, Wimbledon and RDFZ Beijing) is seeking a Teacher of Early Years to join our world-class learning community for an August 2026 start.

Duties and Responsibilities

• To prepare and deliver a variety of age-appropriate kindergarten lessons to students ranging from 2 -6 years old.

• To develop the curriculum using the Early Learning and Development Guidelines for Children Aged 3 to 6 Years and the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum.

• Liaise with Heads of Grade in terms of teaching plans.

• Contribute to the organisation and delivery of events and other curriculum enrichment activities.

• To prepare pupil reports as required and ensure positive liaison with parents.

• To respond timeously to requests from parents in relation to their child’s progress and deal with any issues brought up by parents with acknowledgement of the concern on same working day and action as soon as possible thereafter.

• To keep appropriate records of pupils’ progress, wellbeing, health, emotional problems, achievements and conduct; regularly to check pupil planning and work schedules, to provide such reports and references as may be reasonably required

• To actively contribute to the School’s Co-Curricular Programme.

• To participate in an annual review of pupils’ performance and development as a tutor and to ensure that he/she keeps a record of his/her professional development and maintain discipline in the manner agreed and set out in the policy.

• To undertake any reasonable request made by the line manager that ensures consistent delivery of service in the school.

Kindergarten

Our bilingual kindergarten offers a lively, activity-based programme in Chinese and English for children aged 3–6, blending the strengths of Chinese and international education to build a solid foundation for Grade 1 and beyond. Through play, exploration and creative projects—both indoors and outdoors—children develop self-regulation, curiosity and key skills across seven learning areas. Each class is guided by both a Chinese and an international teacher, creating a warm, supportive environment that nurtures every child’s language development and overall growth.

About you

• Bachelor’s degree in education or subject related field.

• At least 2 years teaching experience in the early years or primary age range.

• Demonstrated interest in child development and optimism for students’ ability to learn and grow；

• Ability to learn and apply local Chinese educational standards as well as new technologies；

• An interest in and commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion；

• Ability to collaborate, establish rapport and communicate in a dual language immersion environment.
