Hangzhou Dipont School of Arts and Science, in partnership with King's College School, Wimbledon and RDFZ Beijing, is seeking an outstanding Teacher of IGCSE & A-Level English to join our learning community from August 2027.

The successful candidate will teach English at IGCSE and A-Level, including Cambridge IGCSE English as a Second Language (0511), helping students develop the language, communication and academic skills they need to succeed in their examinations and prepare for study at leading universities worldwide.

Essential Requirements

To be considered for an English teaching position, candidates should have:

  • Degree in English, English Literature, or Applied Linguistics

  • Recognized teaching qualification, license or certification, such as UK QTS/PGCE or an equivalent US, Canadian or Australian teaching credential

  • At least 3 years of relevant teaching experience

  • Experience teaching English at Secondary and/or Senior School level

  • Strong understanding of literacy development and age-appropriate English teaching

  • Experience teaching Cambridge IGCSE English as a Second Language or a comparable examination curriculum

  • Able to meet Chinese work-permit requirements

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Plan and deliver engaging, academically rigorous IGCSE and A-Level English lessons

  • Teach Cambridge IGCSE English as a Second Language (0511) and prepare students effectively for external examinations

  • Develop students' skills in reading, writing, speaking, listening and academic communication

  • Build students' confidence in using English accurately, fluently and independently

  • Use assessment and feedback to strengthen academic performance and address individual learning needs

  • Contribute to English enrichment through debating, public speaking, creative writing, reading and other academic activities
