POSITION SUMMARY
The Dipont Huayao Collegiate((https://www.dipont-hc.com/) Teaching Fellow (TF) program provides recent graduates with a structured, professional entry point into secondary education. Teaching Fellows support academic departments, contribute to school operations, and engage in professional development designed to prepare them for future teaching roles. Teaching Fellows may come from any academic background, including humanities, sciences, arts, maths and PE. Their assignments will support the overall needs of the Secondary School.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Academic Support & Classroom Engagement
Collaborate with teachers to enhance student learning.
Assist in lesson preparation and classroom logistics.
Lead small group activities and lessons under mentorship.
Manage grading and provide feedback.
Supervise classrooms and participate in academic meetings.
2. Scholar Support & Conference Hours
Offer small-group tutoring and skill reinforcement.
Guide students in study strategies, especially ELL learners.
Communicate academic concerns to teachers.
Maintaining tracking logs of support sessions as required.
3. School Operations & Supervision Duties
Supervise students during lunch, breaks, and transitions.
Assist with school events and logistics.
4. Activity, Co-Curricular, & Life Block Involvement
Coach sports or clubs based on interests.
Lead sessions on wellness and personal development.
Assist with school trips and competitions.
5. Substitute Teaching
Serve as a substitute teacher up to 5 periods weekly.
Implement lesson plans and maintain classroom discipline.
Professional Growth
Teaching Fellows will engage in a structured development program, including coaching, workshops, and opportunities to lead classes in their second year.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education & Credentials
• Bachelor’s Degree required (all majors welcome).
• Master’s Degree or teaching credential preferred but not required.
