About the Role

We are seeking dynamic, articulate, and highly motivated professionals to join our Speech & Public Speaking department.

You need to have a strong track record in competitive speech, public speaking, or performance communication. As a bilingual Chinese instructor, you must demonstrate outstanding proficiency in English, both spoken and written.

This role involves teaching, coaching, curriculum support, and active participation in China’s growing speech-education and tournament ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver Speech Courses at our Center: Provide engaging, well-structured instruction in public speaking, rhetoric, interpretation, and related communication skills for students of various ages.

  • Teach Speech Courses at Partner Schools: Work on-site with partner institutions to deliver high-quality speech and public-speaking programs aligned with our pedagogical standards.

  • Support Recruitment and Training of Student Speakers: Collaborate with teachers to identify interested students, introduce them to the discipline, and train them for participation in competitions and clubs.

  • Lead Speech Clubs and Coaching Sessions: Organize and facilitate speech clubs, individual coaching, and group practice sessions during the academic day, after school and weekends.

  • Supervise and Judge Tournaments: Serve as a judge and supervisor at local and national speech tournaments, ensuring fairness, professionalism, and adherence to competition standards.

  • Train and Oversee Judges: Provide guidance, workshops, and evaluations for new and returning judges to maintain consistent, high-quality adjudication practices.

  • Contribute to Curriculum and Materials Development: Assist with the creation, revision, and improvement of course materials, lesson plans, and long-term curriculum frameworks.

Your Typical Schedule

This full-time role involves a five-day workweek, including Saturdays and Sundays, with two consecutive days off scheduled between Monday and Friday. You'll balance classroom instruction with dedicated time for lesson planning and student support. Instructors teach all levels, leading to the annual tournament, fostering growth and learning.

  • Spring & Fall: Teach up to 20 hours per week, balancing weekday B2B courses at our partner schools with weekend classes at the center.

  • Winter & Summer Camps: Focus on center-based teaching, with up to 30 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
