We are seeking a Teacher of Business, Economics and Digital Society (IBDP) for our international curriculum centre in Changchun, China. Teach Business to enthusiastic and motivated students in one of the best high schools in China!

The Teacher of Business role

You will teach Business and Economics and Digital Society at IBDP and be a key member of the teaching team in this extremely successful international high school program.

Students in the centre seek to gain entry at top universities overseas and are generally exceptionally motivated and high-achieving. You will focus on developing their application of learning and critical thinking skills in order to prepare them as thoroughly as possible for university abroad.

About the international centre

The international center opened in 2011 and gained International Baccalaureate authorization in 2012. It has offered the A-level program since 2017.

The center boasts state-of-the-art resources, modern labs and a very attractive campus. The center has been successful in preparing students for the IB and its alumni have gone onto tertiary education at universities in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia and New Zealand.

All teachers have their own classrooms and good resources, such as data projectors and smart boards, and a dedicated art teaching area. A computer network and Wi-Fi allows information to be shared among and between staff and students.

Our international programs are delivered through specialized curriculum centers within each host school. We support a network of A-level, Advanced Placement program and IBDP (International Baccalaureate Diploma Program) centers in cities across China.

• academic quality management
• recruitment and management of expatriate teachers
• school-based college counseling.

Dipont-managed centers are located in a dedicated section of the host school and students transfer into the centers either in Grade 10 or Grade 11.

Grade 10 is a preparatory year. In our A-level and IBDP centers, students study for the iGCSE (International General Certificate of Secondary Education), while in our AP centers they study a pre-Advanced Placement program. Students are enrolled full-time in our A-level and IBDP centers. For the AP program, students continue with the Chinese curriculum and take AP courses additionally.

One of the key aims within each center is to adequately prepare our students for successful university careers and for life overseas, in part developed through international teaching methods that encourage critical thinking, debate and application of learning.
